A little bit about me...

Life does not come with instructions. There is no  roadmap that shows which direction is right for us and there certainly isn’t a comprehensive DIY video that can solve all of our problems! We are responsible to figure out our own path and manage any issues along the way. This means we will eventually encounter bumps on the path that will raise questions. Some which may be difficult to answer like : “Why am I not happy at my job? Why can’t I get along with my family? Is it normal to feel this way? Is there something wrong with me ?”

It can be incredibly challenging to manage these thoughts on your own. It may feel even more difficult to share these personal issues  without fear of judgement from others . Fortunately, that does not have to be the case.

As a licensed professional, I firmly believe that counseling will help you find the answers you seek while providing you the privacy and respect you deserve.  Furthermore, you will receive the needed tools to determine if your path requires change and how to do it.

During my 10 years of experience in the field, I have worked as a staff therapist, supervisor, speaker, and director of programs in the non-profit sector. I received my master’s degree in Community Counseling from Montclair State University and a Certificate in Executive Non-profit Leadership from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of NJ. My clinical  interests have focused on working with individuals impacted by:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depression/Mood Disorders
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1
  • ADHD
  • School Issues
  • Relationship Issues
  • Family Conflict
  • Employment Problems

My work continues to teach me that we all come from different backgrounds with unique abilities and needs. My approach to counseling can be described as “integrative” as I borrow techniques from various theories to fit my work with you and you alone . A “One size fits all” therapy model is not something I subscribe to. I collaborate with you directly, as partners, to lead to change in your life. I promise that I do not: provide directives, read minds, make you lie on couch while I interpret your dreams, or give advice (which assumes I know more about you than you do)! However, I do listen, respond, and provide you with what you need in counseling to meet your goals.

If you are ready to take action, please go to my contact page and reach out. If you are not ready, I will be here when you are. I am always happy to answer any of your questions about therapy.
